  Opening Statement: In 1808 in the rolling countryside of Litchfield, Maine just south of Augusta, Asa Bachelder constructed an elegant Federal-style brick building that is now known as ?Bachelder?s Crossing?. Each of the six guest rooms is appropriately furnished with New England period antiques Four rooms still have their original working fireplaces, all have private baths.
