  Opening Statement: Seize the day in our elegant yet casual guesthouse. Quietly located in the center of town our guestrooms offer private bath and quality amenities, some feature fireplaces, whirlpool tubs , private entrance and/or private patios. Our garden is an oasis with a heated spa (9am-8pm). The dining table is the meeting point for all the guests who like a good cup of coffee, German bread and cakes, waffles, Quiche or other special treats.   More Details: Jurgen?s breakfast: Jurgen's homemade German-style breakfast is famous. Out and About referred to it as ?Classic American gourmet meets German bounty.? Every morning the ?family-size? dining table at the Carpe Diem is the meeting point for all guests who like a good cup of coffee, German bread and cakes, Belgian waffles, quiche, omelets or other special treats and a nice chat with friendly people. The standard breakfast consist of breads, bagels, croissant, muffins, cakes, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, jams, cold cuts such as Prosciutto and cheese, orange juice, fresh Carpe Diem Coffee and a wide variety of teas. The Common rooms: The Walt Whitman common room is a great place to relax, read a good book, meet people or chat with new friends. Wood floors are a highlight of this room that features antique furnishings and paintings. There is ample space for relaxation, whether it is lounging in an armchair as the fireplace flickers in the background, or reading the latest novel and sipping a glass of complimentary Sherry or Port while sitting in one of the comfortable sofas. French doors open up to the dining room with it's French country style ambience. There is a 24 hour coffee & espresso station and a nice range of teas as well as pastries throughout the day for a relaxing tea time. Afternoon refreshments as well as wine and cheese are being served in the common rooms or on one of the outside patios. Recreational activities: The Carpe Diem is located close to the National Seashore with miles of unspoiled beaches. There are wonderful bike trails for the active guests and organized dune tours as well as whale watch trips for an unforgettable experience. Kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, fishing, sailing, cycling, tennis, and golf as well as two gyms are within close distance to the guesthouse. We are quietly located in the center of town with it's unique shops, marvelous restaurants, theaters, cinema and nightly entertainment. Everything in Provincetown is within walking distance from the Inn so no car is needed during your stay. Off street parking is provided. Recreational facilities: Our garden is a green oasis far away from all the excitement of Commercial Street. A heated spa, which is open year round from 9 am to 9 pm, offers great relaxation and cozy lounge chairs invite you to some extra sun-tanning sessions. For those in need to be connected to the 'real' world we offer a guest office with computer / copy machine / printer and high speed internet access at no extra charge. All rooms are equipped with TV/VCR and there is a wide selection of videos to choose from.
